Running for Class President

I finally took some 6 year old pictures of Christopher.  It's too hard to take kids to a studio to have them done so we just snap some outside.  He wanted to take a picture with his scooter.  This one looks like a campaign picture for when Christopher runs for senior class president.  (I can totally see him doing that someday....something I never would have been brave enough to do)  :)

Classic !

This is one of those pictures we'll show to Annie' future husband, just to tease her. :)  Isn't she so cute!

A bike ride and a trip to the zoo

Michael learned to ride a bike without training wheels!  Yeah!  He is so proud of himself and so are the rest of us!!

We went to the Turtle Back Zoo today.  It's a great little zoo that you can cover in a couple of hours easy.  Favorite animals:
Christopher: snake and prarie dogs
Michael: snake and leopard
Annie: prarie dogs and bear
Jacob: ??

Christopher has a funny look on his face in the bottom picture because he was trying to figure out why people kept throwing money in the little fountain behind them.   It seemed like a waste to him...he wanted to fish all the money out of the pond. :)

Seriously!

Update on the cucumbers:  So, just today I noticed like 4 more cucumbers growing that I'm positive weren't there last night when I checked.  Maybe the big rainstorm last night with all the thunder scared them into growing.  Looks like maybe I'll be able to make pickles afterall. :)

Look at all those teeth!  And he's not even quite 10 months old yet.  He has a funny look on his face in this picture, but I think he's the cutest kid around (along with his brothers and sister) :)

The Lone Cuke

So I have a small pot garden in the backyard.  I planted tomatoes, green beans and cucumbers.  The tomatoes and green beans grew just fine.  The cucumber, on the other hand, is a strange story.  The plant has grown like crazy....all over the place....up and down the fence.  But every day I look and there are no cucumbers.  Until today!  Finally, one cucumber.  Just one!  Look at this plant!  Why are there not tons of cucumbers on this plant?!  Any gardeners out there want to give me any advice?  Mistie, I know you're a gardener...what did I do wrong?  The only thing I can think of is that I put too many plants in one pot.  I should have only put in one plant, but the box came with like 4 and I didn't want to plant them all in separate pots.  Call me lazy. :)  Oh well, I guess we will enjoy this one cucumber.  It better taste super good!!!
