I am posting this because I don't want to forget it in case this picture gets lost (and because I love Michael and he is a really cute kid). Michael drew this and told me it was a rocket powered shovel. He described how it works and its many uses. I can totally see Michael being an inventor or engineer someday....or also just a really cool super powered construction worker. (I'm pretty sure that's why he thought up this shovel to begin with...because he wants to be a construction worker).

Halloween...my 200th post....does that mean anything?
Okay, I'll be honest....Halloween is my least favorite holiday....very last on this list....even behind Columbus Day which I'm not even sure how you would celebrate. I know Halloween is well loved by many (and I am completely amazed at how creative my friends are during Halloween. They are way more creative than I am...yes you Naomi and Mistie), but I dislike creepy things and unruly teenagers roaming the neighborhood causing trouble and begging for candy. I don't decorate for Halloween and I'm relieved when it's over. Sorry everyone, it's just how I feel. :) I do love fall though and get good use out of all the pumpkins in decorating for fall. Despite my personal feelings I do enjoy being crafty so the only enjoyment I get from this morbid holiday is making costumes for my kids, (and the fact that they enjoy dressing up and getting candy). I try to make them costumes that they can use for dress-up after Halloween is over. So this year Christopher and Michael wanted to be Billy Blazes from Rescue Heroes (a 90's TV cartoon based on souped up community helpers like firemen and policemen who rescue people....no villains involved). So firefighter costumes is what they got. Annie wanted to be a bumblebee....a pink bumblebee. And Jacob was the obligatory frog, which is the same costume Christopher and Michael wore at that age. It's fun to see each one of them wear it, (I didn't make that costume). :) The costumes are nothing special (it's amazing what you can do with duct tape), but they liked them and that's what matters. Christopher had fun during his school Halloween parade which was really cute.
Happy Halloween !(happy it's over, haha). Bring on Thanksgiving and Christmas (yeah!)
