Go Mets

One day last week Jeff was given his firm's box seats to a Mets game.... for the whole family.  He's gone to lots of games before and can usually take one or two of the boys with him.  But this was the first time we all got to go.  Sitting in the box is so much easier with kids.  You have space to move, couches to sit on, tons of food.  It was so much fun!!  It was a day game and so we took the kids out of school half day.  Irresponsible, you say ????  Fun, I say !!!

Michael was happy to be there....couldn't tell from this picture. :)

In the parking lot they have all these markers where things were in the original Shea Stadium

Not sure why Christopher is in a batting stance at the pitchers mound. :)

Trying to get Jacob to eat something nutritious instead of massive amounts of french fries and soda.

Like Christopher's new glasses ??

Jacob's new thing is the thumbs up.

Trying to dunk a Giants fan.  But what kind of dunk tank has the guy fall into foam squares instead
of water.  Kind of lame.

First day of school 2013

So this year Michael and Anne are at Tisdale Elementary which is K-3 and Christopher goes to Dater Elementary which is 4-5.  Kind of weird how they break it up here...and even more weird that I have to do drop offs and pick ups at 2 different schools.  Someone needs to figure out a better system for drop off and pick up here becuase it is CRAZY I tell ya!  Anyway, all the kids LOVE their teachers.  Christopher's teacher is young, cute and so nice.  Michael has a veteran who is so sweet and good for him because he has issues about going to school (that's another story...he's fine once he's in, but getting in isn't always pretty).  Anne also has a veteran teacher who she loves.  So I'm happy if they're happy.  Anne is in afternoon kindergarten and she was so excited to go.  I barely even get a hug from her before she walks in...she's so brave.  Here's to a happy, safe, productive year!!

Anne wasn't quite ready for the day when the boys left. :)

This is her K for kindergarten

Sooo excited

Every time I told her to look at the camera she would give me some pose.

Look how long her hair has grown

After school snack

Daniel turns 1

What!!! One year old already !!  It snuck up on me and I wasn't ready to not have a baby anymore.  Daniel's now moving around, cruising around (although not walking yet) and he's got 6 teeth.  My little Daniel...oh what a joy he is.  He has the funniest laugh and cutest smile.  He is a little mischevious already.  He loves his family and we all adore him too.  It's sad when the last baby grows up.  I wish he could stay little forever.

Don't Jacob and Anne looked thrilled.  It had been a long Sunday.

Awesome gift from Aunt Tatia

The best part of turning 1.  Eating the cake!!!

Daniel had no trouble digging right in.

Happy Boy!!

Last Days of Summer

So, when did it become common for summer break to only be 2 months.  I could swear that when I was in school it was 3 months.  I think they are slowly trying to trick us and pretty soon they are going to take our kids away from us year round.  Summer went way too fast this year.  It feels like school just ended and now we've already been back in for 3 days.  Well, here are a few highlights from the last few weeks of summer.

Love this picture....Daniel always has milk dribbles on his face and Anne looks so pretty.

Christopher made a bird feeder for a Cub scout requirement

This little guy got some more teeth.  He smiles like this any time I point the camera at him.  Oh, and
he's a really messy eater. :)

Everyone loves Daniel

Girl friends from church.  Analise's face cracks me up.  (Payton, Anne, Analise, Brooke, Kaya, Addy)

At a ward party.  They were having a race and Jacob was running his fastest...but he didn't win and he
melted into a puddle of tears.  Emotional that one is.

Balloon toss

Jacob and Brinley trying to decide how it worked

They cooked a pig for the BBQ...the kids were intrigued and grossed out at the same time.
