So, when I heard about the cool hot air balloon festival that my friend Becca and her family went to, I wanted to go to one also. So I looked online and found one about 1 1/2 hours away. We were excited to see all the fun balloons. But as usual for us, we got a late start and there was lots of traffic so when we got there all the
balloons had already taken off, except for this one that was just going up and down giving people rides. We were pretty bummed. But we did see a lot of the balloons in the sky on the traffic packed road on the way there. But since we were at the county fair we decided to take advantage.

Michael was afraid this big tractor was going to run over him. ;)

The boys loved all the animals at the fair. There was everything from cows to bunnies and llamas to chickens. Michael would go up to the animals and start talking to them. When they didn't respond he kept saying, "Mommy, the cows not listening to me!" It was so funny.

These little piggies were my favorite. So cute and sleepy.

And then we did the most unpractical thing and paid a whopping $9 just so they could ride one ride at the fair. They chose this one. As you can see Michael is totally excited and Christopher has his hands on his ears since he knew it was going to make a loud noise when it first started. He kept his hands on his ears the whole ride and drove the fire truck with his feet and a huge grin on his face. :)

And what would a county fair be without a big monster truck giving people rides. They also had a huge demolition derby that Jeff really wanted to see, but the tickets were sold out...go figure. So he watched it over the fence for a while. He's just a kid at heart. :) It was a fun night, even though we missed the balloons.

Sorry you guys missed the balloons! I bet it was fun to see them all in the air though on your way.
I haven't been to a county fair in ages! I love them! Glad you guys had a good time!
I'm so sorry you missed all the balloons. But it looks like you had a fun-filled day. Love the picture of the boys on the ride. It looks exactly like the ones I used to ride when I was little. I don't even think I've ever been to a county fair. Sounds like a lotta fun.
