Snow Day

We've always noticed that they cancel school when it snows in New Jersey. Now we are experiencing it. Christopher was home today for his first "snow day". The kids wore their pajamas inside out last night so that it would snow more. I was surprised at how much snow really did come down. And, we just got the call that school is cancelled again tomorrow. WHAT!! So we get to have more fun tomorrow. Today we made O'Henry's, drank hot chocolate, watched a movie and, of course, play in the snow a lot.

Christopher's first order of business was to go out and "eat the snow that fall's on my tongue."
We started to make an igloo, but Jacob woke up from his nap, so we'll have to finish tomorrow.
And the biggest hit was the homemade sledding hill I made of piled up snow. It was tiny but they could have played on that for hours.

This looks like so much fun!! I remember doing these types of things as a kid. My kids would love sledding on your small hill. I need them to get over their coughs so we can start getting out again. They still have been coughing enough that I'm trying to keep them inside for a few more days.

BTW, I just read the quotes on the side of the blog - the one about Annie asking, "Why?" about everything is so great!
