So, any guesses on which child became the first to have stitches in our family. One of the rambunctious, big boys you say? No, then maybe our dare devil, petite little Annie? Nope, wrong again. It was our sweet little Jacob. Poor little guy...he stood up and slipped in the tub and got a good cut right over his eye. Luckily Jeff got home from work about 15 minutes after it happened and a sweet friend came over and put our other kids to bed and stayed with them while we went to the ER. After a long wait, Jacob got some stitches (I think it was 6). It was no fun to watch since they had to wrap him up in the papoose to keep him still. They gave him enough pain killer I'm sure he didn't really feel it, but he was sure mad about being wrapped up. But once the doctor was done and I could pick him up he was fine as could be. It wasn't fun to watch him be so upset though. Now it just has to heal up and then we get the stitches out in a week. I imagine that will be about as much fun as the intial experience. :)

Cami got a cut in the exact same place and had to have stitches while we were in NJ. She fell in the driveway and hit a brick retaining wall. The same evening we were in the ER, another little girl had a cut in the same place too. It must be a popular spot :) I didn't like the papoose either - made me feel so bad for her as she cried and I couldn't do anything to help her or comfort her.
