Tiny Tim 8 Champions

Christopher's baseball league won their championship game this year.  It's funny that their league was called Tiny Tim 8 and they were the Chipmunks....because there was nothing tiny or Chipmunky about them.  Most of these boys were pretty darn good and you could tell they had been playing for a while.

Can I just tell you...I love to watch baseball, but I don't think I'm cut out for the stress it involves.  We were undefeated going into the final championship game, so in order to loose we had to be beat twice.  We lost the first game...although the score was only 0-1....tough game.  We won the second game 6-4.  The boys were so excited.  It's amazing how good some of these little 8 year olds are.  Their pitching and fielding is really good.  They were all so excited to get their trophies and go out for ice cream afterwards.  Christopher learned a lot and made some friends.  I think he also learned to like the game of baseball which was fun to watch.  Go Chipmunks!!

The first of the 2 championship games.  They had an announcer, the national anthem, and Pres. Obama
threw out the first pitch...or rather a guy in an Obama mask.  He got some real heckles too.
It was pretty hilarious.

After the second game when they won the championship.  They went out for ice cream.  It was
great because the other team was there too and all the kids were friends.

These 2 were friends at all the games.  Here they are poking each other and laughing.
3 year olds ????

Christopher with his trophy

They even got in the newspaper

It was a great season.

I love the sign you made for the game!!! So, I have to ask...did pres Obama really throw the first pitch or were you kidding?! How cool is that if he really did?!
