But the finished product pleased them and they had fun turning off all the lights and watching it glow. My pumpkin carving skills are very elementary so excuse the simple looking pumpkin. :)Friday, October 30, 2009
Pumpkin Carving
A friend from church gave us a big pumpkin to carve. The kids weren't too crazy about the slimy guts, but then neither am I. They also weren't fond of the smell of the inside of the pumpkin, but they tried to get some out before I just put my hand in and started pulling it out. Yuck!!

Baby Jacob and Family Fun
Christopher is really good at holding Jacob. He supports his head and everything.

I love the smiles he gives after he eats. I don't believe that whole "it's just gas" thing. I don't think anyone smiles when they have gas. I would smile too if I just ate a lot of warm milk.
So sleepy
What an intelligent face
Adoring daddy
When Jeff was off work he went and bought paints with Michael . Annie particularly had a lot of fun/mess
Field Trip
Christopher's first field trip was to Battleview Orchard in Monmouth County. They got to see how apple cider was made, pick apples and a pumpkin. He had such a good time and best of all he got to ride the school bus. Jeff went as one of the chaperone's and I think he had as much fun as Christopher did. He said on the way down, he was giving the "honk your horn" signal to passing truckers and all the kids caught on. They got quite a few to do it and Jeff thinks they might have annoyed the bus driver a little bit. Jeff must be a kindergartner at heart. Jeff said it was really fun to watch Christopher with all of his class mates. He said he was very sociable and seemed to be friends with everyone. He really likes his teacher as well. I feel like we were blessed to get such a good teacher for Christopher, especially since I didn't know anything about the teachers when I registered him.
Christopher was so excited to ride the bus

Enjoying the great outdoors

Cheap Fun
I was at AC Moore the other day and found all these little foam craft projects for $1. I got the boys the race cars for an after school activity. They have turned out to be the best $2 I've spent in a while. I worked the glue gun and they stuck on the pieces and decorated them with their own drawings. They've been playing with them all week which has been fun. Christopher even took his for his first Show and Tell and his teacher loved that he brought something he had made. I'm just glad we had a fun time making them. I may have to go back and get some more.

This was the reason I went to AC Moore. All their Melissa and Doug toys were 50% off. I got Annie the wooden "paper dolls" with magnetic princess clothes. She needed more girl toys. She loved the pink princess dress and then spent the rest of the time categorizing all the clothing back into the proper compartments in the box. She's my little girl. :)

PS. Oh, and by the way....I fibbed. I have gone back to Walmart...against my better judgement. BUT, I have only gone on a weekday and right after I drop Christopher off at school at like 8:30 am. That is the only way I can go there and stay sane. :) LOL!!
